Nurturing future talent through work experience at ecollective

At ecollective, we’re passionate about supporting the next generation of marketing professionals. Our work experience programme is designed to offer young people valuable insight into the world of marketing – helping them understand how the industry works, explore different roles, and gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment.

Recently, we welcomed Sixth Form students Dora, Anna, and Etta to the team. Here’s what Dora had to say about her time with us:

“After a week of work experience with ecollective, I can confidently say that I gained so much knowledge about the marketing industry and the way a company functions.

Tor and Becks were so considerate with our needs and ensured they gave us the most beneficial experience they could – from tasking us with research projects to allowing us to sit in on client meetings.

The entire team were so friendly and welcoming, which really made us feel included. Just an all-round positive experience in every way.”

Of course, the benefits aren’t just one-sided. We gain so much from welcoming fresh perspectives into the business. Young people bring energy, creativity, and a healthy dose of curiosity – which helps keep us on our toes. At ecollective, we believe in constantly challenging the status quo, and there’s nothing like someone new asking, “Why?” to prompt fresh thinking.

We’re also thrilled to be working with Rhiannon Love, a graduate of UAL: London College of Fashion. With a passion for creativity but uncertainty about which path to follow, Rhiannon turned to work experience to help clarify her next steps

“Work experience can give you such a great idea of what you would be doing day to day in a career you’re interested in pursuing, and build on your skills in a real working environment”

Since joining, Rhiannon has progressed from observing and supporting our design team to leading the design of social media posts, carousels, and reels for clients.

“All this has so far has shown me how much I do already know about design and getting to use it in practice but also tips and knowledge I wouldn’t know without the practice I have learnt that this is absolutely a career I would love to pursue”

The ecollective approach

For us, the most important part is knowing we’re contributing in a small way to shaping future careers.
